Assess & Control
An Outpost Call Box in your parking area or other areas requiring increased visitor security is an efficient and affordable wireless 2-way call system that provides instant connection between visitors and security personnel.
Ritron, Inc. virtually invented.......
wireless access and control utilizing conventional VHF and UHF radios nearly a decade agowith the introduction of a basic Call box that has evolved into our latest offering as shown on the left. A basic Call Box is a battery powered pushbutton activated radio transceiver that allows a visitor to communicate directly to personnel equipped with conventional 2-way radios - kind of like a wireless intercom!
In complicated installation is involved. Standard "D" cell alkaline batteries power the Call Box for up to a year (an optional AC power supply or even solar power is available). When the call button is pressed by the visitor, and alert tone is sent to personnel equipped with 2-way radios (either fixed or portable) who can then communicate directly with the visitor. Arrangements can then be made to open a door or gate or bid the visitor farewell as desired.
A more advanced version of the Call Box can be connected directly to a gate or door controller. Instead of sending someone to provide visitor access, selected personnel can activate a control code to remotely open designated doors or gates directly from their 2-way radio! Some models have user programmable voice prompts to tell the visitor to stand by until answered (kind of like radio voice mail...). A voice message is also sent to personnel equipped with 2-way radios to announce the locating of the calling box or other message as applicable. Our most recent version (shown above) has all of the above capabilities plus a front panel mounted access keypad. This allows wired connection to existing door or gate controllers to allow employees or regular visitors for direct entry with no third party intervention required.
